Downtown Update

It’s a “Clean Sweep” in the Downtown Waterfront

Thanks to all of the property owners and businesses who were able to lend a hand to sweep their sidewalks recently.  The coordinated effort with the City of Duluth crews allowed us to get rid of a lot of left-over winter dirt and debris.  City crews will continue to sweep streets over the next few days.

The Clean & Safe Team reports that we are a full month ahead of schedule on spring cleaning compared to last year!

Looking for your Happy Space?

You won’t have to look far to find your Happy Space.  Just stop over at Fitger’s where Happy Space will be opening its doors on April 6th.  The store, owned and operated by Shane Bauer of Laughingstock Design, showcases his clothing line that provides a positive message. Check it out—it will make you smile!

We Support Google Twin Ports

We're out to help convince Google to build an ultra-high speed fiber network in the Twin Ports.  Nine days remain in the campaign, so at a minimum, please direct everyone you know in the Twin Ports area to fill out the form at http://www.googletwinports.com/pledge

Attend the Google Festival at the DECC on Saturday March 20th at 2:00PM. They will also be filming a movie and extras are needed for the crowd scene.

Please invite family and friends.

Rebuilding Interstate 35 and its Impact on Commerce

Presented by:  Canal Park Business Association, Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce, Greater Downtown Council and Visit Duluth

Construction season kicks off next month on Interstate-35 in Duluth. And it takes on a new meaning this year as MNDOT begins major improvements from Boundary Avenue to 26th Avenue East.  From pavement and bridge replacement to lane closures and traffic restrictions, this reconstruction project will have a significant impact.

What does this mean for local businesses, events and attractions?  How do we work together to make it through some challenging, but necessary road reconstruction?

Please join us to hear the latest:

Updates are on the Way
