Downtown Pop-Up CoLab Space Available!
The Greater Downtown Council and Duluth 1200 Fund are teaming up to offer local entrepreneurs a chance to test out storefront spaces along Superior Street. The Pop-Up program is back by popular demand, this time with applicants sharing space for free in a Co-Lab environment and receiving $1,500 to go toward expenses.
“This is a great way to further activate vacant space in our downtown, while also providing a local entrepreneur a new opportunity,” said Kristi Stokes, president of the GDC.
Shared storefront space is available for free for three months in the 300 block of West Superior Street (313, 315, 317 West Superior). This CoLab environment is being offered to provide additional synergy for small businesses that may not have enough inventory to fill an entire storefront.
“We are committed to helping small businesses grow here in Duluth,” said Deb Otto, president of the 1200 Fund. “This partnership allows them a chance to test out the market, plus it provides added financial incentive and business advisement.”
Applications will be accepted through June 27th, with priority given to Black Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC), women and veteran-owned businesses. For more information on eligibility requirements and to apply online, please go to https://1200fund.com.
